| Can I send a 5v signal direct to Next, Previous and Reset, using an arduino to simply control the Somo, by bringing the pins low, in key mode? What are the safe voltages on these pins? Do I need anything between the arduino output and these pins? |

The SOMO is a 3.3V device. Not recommended connecting the 5V Arduino pins directly, you'll cause damage to the SOMO. You can use NPN type transistors to control the pins (Collector of the transistor connected to the SOMO pin) or a simpler method of current limiting series resistors (say 1K) connected between the Arduino pin and the SOMO pin. Let us know how you go. __________________ Atilla |

| Thanks for that, Atilla. Just wanted to be sure. Will experiment with both ways when I do this. |

I'm sure both will work but give it a go and please post your results here so others can benefit. __________________ Atilla |
