Reply with quote | #1 | I was having trouble getting Graphics Composer to work - while waiting for my reg for this forum, I found out there are two version of Graphics Composer the can be download Graphics Composer Ver1.4.1 and version 2.1.0.3. The 1.4.1 version loads over the serial port, but I can't get it to change the serial port (to the one that the micriOLED was on ). The later version loads the uSD card directly and seems to work ok.
To get the good version go via the product page. to get version 1.41 go via the general software list.
cheers

Reply with quote | #2 | The Graphics Composer version 1.4.1 is for use with an older version of the uOLED displays that used flash memory on the display (uOLED-128-1Mb, uOLED-128-1Mb, etc.) and cannot be used with the newer displays that have uSD card capability.
The GC for the current displays will download directly to the uSD card only on displays loaded with a serial platform PmmC. Displays with a 4DGL platform PmmC loaded, require the user to use a uSD reader attached to the PC to download files.
The older displays are no longer manufactured by 4D Systems, but you can see the datasheet here: http://www.4dsystems.com.au/downloads/micro-OLED/uOLED-128/Docs/Pdf/uOLED-128%20DataSheetBrief%20Rev3.pdf
